2022. It has been a troubling time for my preferred writing stable, that being Writers Anonymous, with two of its members leaving this world, to pass on to another one.
It’s clear the whole group misses their input and contribution. But the group knows they would always be encouraged to carry on.
In this latest collection I try to bring together answers and examples that hint at the meaning of loyalty, ably assisted by international contributors as well.
I suspect, on completing each story in this anthology, your personal definition will evolve. But where you end up is solely your discretion.

2021. As you know, whenever I compile dark fiction for you, I like to give a flavour of what it’s about. With these works I’d like to hear how you feel the authors have kept to the guidelines set for them.
But what, I hear you ask, were the seeds to help these tales grow into full bloom? Well, the references to the subject matter appear in ancient texts, where examples are commonplace. They are known as the “seven deadly sins” namely, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Envy, Pride, Sloth and Anger. Each piece should have one sin as its central theme.
As well as enjoying the selection I have created for your delectation, have a think, and ask yourself, which sin is this story’s theme? How does it show this? Does the story cover more than one theme?
